The Florida Keys Community College (FKCC) Marine Public Safety Program, in cooperation with the Port of Key West, the cruise ship industry, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Navy and local public safety agencies, has developed a model for Underwater Port Security, and established a training program for effective deployment of that model in any port facility. Thus far, almost two hundred public safety and military personnel have taken this training.
